Steward green is forging new paths using state-of-the-art drone (sUAV) technology and software. These tools sUAV’s gives you the ability to view, record and gather a plethora of different data streams for many projects that were not previously feasible, logistically or economically. Steward Greens’ fleet of drones have helped reduce project overheads and given us an ability to access remote areas and quickly gather a projects required data. The “sky is the limit” to what we can do!

SUAS (Drone) Solutions

Steward Green has been in business over 15 years providing business solutions for its clients.  We have also been providing sUAS results for the last 7 years, speaking nationally about FAA sUAS compliance, safety, economics, quality and application. We have performed work in many states across the US, mostly in the energy and natural resource sector.  We are FAA certified to fly commercially (both day AND night), maintain systems’ and pilots’ certifications, as well as possess the proper aviation liability insurances.

Bioretention Solutions

Bioretention systems are vegetated stormwater management facilities that are used to remove a wide range of pollutants from land development sites; these pollutants include suspended solids, nutrients, metals, hydrocarbons and bacteria. Stormwater runoff entering the system is filtered through the soil bed before discharging downstream through an underdrain or infiltrating into the subsoil. Vegetation in the soil bed provides uptake of pollutants and runoff, and the root system helps maintain the infiltration rate in the soil bed.

Habitat & Land Trust Solutions

Installation of Pollinator Meadows, bioswale development, and curation of meadow habitats is the backbone of our field work, click the Habitat link below or reach out for consultation!

  • Defensible deer population information is gathered using real time imagery and special sensors. This allows us to accurately survey deer populations over large areas literally overnight.

  • We can gather and collate data to create a georeferenced map of an area. Giving you the ability to determine the coordinates of any given point, to calculate distances and areas, and to determine other useful information.

  • Our drone technology can also be used to quickly find the exact location of a leak in a roof or underground pipe. Reducing the need of existing manual camera methods that take time, are expensive and have trouble locating the exact leak location on a property.

  • Bioretention systems are vegetated stormwater management facilities that are used to remove a wide range of pollutants and stormwater runoff entering the system is filtered through the soil bed before discharging downstream through an underdrain or infiltrating into the subsoil.

  • Bioswales are channels designed to concentrate and convey stormwater runoff while removing debris and pollution. Bioswales can also be beneficial in recharging groundwater, and are typically vegetated, mulched, or xeriscaped. They consist of a swaled drainage course with gently sloped sides.

  • Now a requirement in most new constructions, pervious surfaces allow water to percolate through to the area underneath rather than becoming runoff. These functional pavements have a number of benifits such as recharging groundwater resources, filter out pollutants, reduce the heat island effect and also help mitigate an areas potential to flooding.

  • Steward Green leads trusted clients and partners though their “5 Step Habitat Regeneration Program”.  This process has been designed to meet conservation goals, stay within budget, adhere to scheduled deadlines, greatly improve aesthetics and protect project investment.  Results are improved ecosystem services, better habitat for place-based species and increased biodiversity.

  • Land Trusts need an efficient mechanism, or tool to aid in the proper follow through and care of land acquisitions to protect the initial investment and provide sustainable ongoing protection. Our land stewardship plans can be created for a region, creating a template that can be utilized with many types of land and habitats within that same region, with only minor changes to the plan.  This “template” then simplifies the process and allows the Land Trust to focus more attention on acquiring land, with the assurance that proper management will follow.

  • Steward Green was very professional, guiding a project that could have held a higher risk than anyone wanted. They even supplied specialized crane rigging necessary to protect the large trees we moved
    — Jeff Benkini, Benkini Landscaping
  • Steward Green performed a last-minute deer density study for our area, walking us through the data collection process and took time to answer our questions. They are true professionals!
    — Karen, Detroit, Michigan
  • We are grateful to the experts at Steward Green for compiling these important statistics, and for their ongoing efforts to manage conservation and wildlife concerns in the Garden State,
    — Ryck Suydam, President of New Jersey Farm Bureau.
  • Steward Green had the expertise and specialized equipment to help us with a sensitive habitat restoration for an endangered butterfly species. Very professional.
